New huge wave of steam bots?

edited May 12 in General Chat
I have been constantly getting friend invites and once I accept they always say:
NEW PROJECT!!! Do not miss your chance!!! Be sure to stop by and read, you for sure will interest !!!
Remember, a second chance can not be, it's 5 sec your time....
All in a virtual text document - https: //pastebin.com/4Q9WjSiB and on youtube - https: //youtu.be/LrF8YjB23Ms
Sorry for spam...

Anyone else have this problem? I'm getting nearly 5 invites each hour, it's getting annoying.

Yeah a lot of them are called [unassigned] but also a lot of other random names.

They are all Steam Chat Bots. Controlled by a master account. This program when used renames the bots to [unassigned] until configured individually. That's why most of them are named [unassigned]. The only way to stop them is to find the master account and report it on Steam. I haven't got a single invite, which means they might be targeting specific steam groups, or maybe regions. But all this is just an assumption. If you send me some of their account IDs, I may run a check and find the master account.

I do receive many requests of guys called "unassigned"
  • That's why I don't just ignore them, I block them. Because they keep add me by different names.
  • at least 3 unknown peoples / day asking me to approving friend request on steam.
  • Just block them, that is what i do.
  • These bots are legit the cancer of steam. There are some other ones that say stuff like "Hello.I advise you to trade on http://great-exchange.site
Use balance code great5$ and get 5$
On this website you can trade online and be of great benefit to the exchanges." and one of the them said the same thing but with I believe a different website, and one of them said something like that but said "Sup BROOO!". Anything I can do to help I'll do cuz these bots are super annoying. If we manage to get the main accounts down, it would be awesome.
  • I dont have problem with idler/level up/1:1 bots, but these csgo scam sites that offer gambling etc, are growing like hell, and for that, bots that are inviting us are created. i faced the same things, level 2 steam user adding me. i wish steam introduce auto block features
